Louisiana Tech is the Sports Tech & Research Hub of Louisiana

Set to become the sports tech & research hub of Louisiana, the Louisiana Tech Sports Performance Institute will house both academic and athletic Research & Development. With strategic alignment between athletics and academics, research proposals, population groups studied and tech-transfer taken to market will reach an all-time high at Louisiana Tech. Cross departmental indirect cost-sharing for sponsored research will generate new revenue lines, previously unknown, to athletics.

The Louisiana Tech Sports Performance Institute will focus on the following initiatives:

  • Actively pursue sponsored research opportunities funded by Federal, State & Foundation programs;
  • Design philanthropic opportunities for donors wishing to give to projects living on the edge of tomorrow;
  • Leverage the benefits of Technology Transfer systems already in place to capitalize on innovation realized here on campus;
  • Impact the greater Louisiana sporting community with access to coaching best-practices as well as on-campus symposiums;
  • Make premier student-athlete life skills programming, offered to our Division I student-athletes, available to middle and high school aged youth.

The Louisiana Tech Sports Performance Institute was founded to serve the greater Louisiana Sports Community with the dissemination of best practices, research & innovation and access to institutional experts and population groups.
